MUCHA MARCHA MAY MASQUERADE - Friday 4th May

Radar, Valentina, Peaches..

MUCHA MARCHA MAY MASQUERADE

In the early 18th Century a Swiss count named John James Heidegger introduced London to the Venetian fashion of the masquerade ball. They were known to be extravagant, hedonistic affairs where masked guests indulged in the kind of licentious excess that would make Bacchus blush. A significant anti-masquerade movement grew alongside the balls and loads of boring moral types said that the events encouraged immorality and "foreign influence." Yeah and what?!!? Let's have another one.

Radar (LIVE)
Digital ska man - it’s the future. What you didn’t know? Radar are set for big things. They sound a little like a cross between Calvin Harris and Madness. Plus our mate Roxy thinks there lead singer is really cute. That’ll do for us. www.myspace.com/thisisradar

Valentina (LIVE)
You know when you’re listening to the radio and you hear an artist with an amazing voice and you think to your self: “Wow, I bet he’s/she’s really fit.” Then you check out the pictures on their myspace and you get a bit disappointed. Valentina is an exception to that rule – a girl who is almost as beautiful as her voice tells you she is. Come down and check her out if you feel like falling in love.

The New Testament Party Crew
This is Peaches Geldof’s new incarnation – a fun loving bunch of stylish degenerates who are experts at picking the lock on Pandora’s party box and unleashing hell. Expect them to storm the decks with everything from reggaeton, to grime, to electronica, to jungle, to 80's Hits, to swing, to dancehall and every other genre that involves big beats and people shouting annoying stuff over the top preferably in weird accents or other languages. Blap!!!!
